Manual Gritting
This service is ideal for smaller sites and for pedestrian areas / footpaths. This is a bespoke service tailored to fit the individual site and customer requirements. Scottish Gritting use a range of manual and towable Gritters, including machines which spread dry or wet grit/salt effectively and with spreading mechanisms to suit different applications and locations. Our Gritters are ideal for fast, easy and effective gritting of icy access roads, car parks and footpaths.

Scottish Gritting has been providing a private Gritting and Snow Clearing service for over 50 years. With depots through-out Scotland we deliver a National Service locally.
We currently provide cover to a number of Major Clients clearing over 2,500,00 sq.m along with a number of smaller Clients with less than 700m2.
All of our vehicles have the facility to fit Snow Ploughs and in the event of heavy snow we rapidly mobilise additional machinery from our own fleet.
It is important to use the correct equipment for clearing snow as damage can easily be caused to existing road surfaces and installations and this can only be achieved by using rubber edged ploughs.
Scottish Gritting use purpose built rubber edged self-levelling Snow Ploughs that are fitted to our 4x4 trucks chassis.
Machine Snow Clearance
Scottish Gritting is able to provide a comprehensive snow plough service with our large fleet of vehicles, loading shovels and importantly trained skilled operators. All of our vehicles are fitted with detachable rubber edged snow ploughs and have four wheel drive.
Our Snow Ploughs are maintained by our in-house team to the highest standards to minimise the risk of damage to existing road surfaces and installations. Snow Clearing service is complimented by a treatment of Salt as the snow is ploughed.
Manual Snow Clearance
Manual snow removal can also be included in the package which covers intricate parts of your site such as footpaths and fire escapes.
This can be carried out by small snowploughs or by hand depending on access and type of surface.
